Cafe Bibliotic Hello!

Cafe Bibliotic Hello!

Today, we’d like to introduce Cafe Bibliotic Hello!, a café located just south of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. Amazingly, it stays open until midnight, making it a popular spot not only for lunch but also as a “night café.” Depending on the time of day, you may even find a line outside. It’s also very close to Kishotei—only about a 5-minute walk.

As you step into the narrow alley, a building surrounded by lush greenery comes into view. The interior is spacious with high ceilings, creating a bright and open atmosphere. With shelves of books and plenty of plants, the café feels calm, cozy, and inviting.

The menu offers a wide selection, including sandwiches, pasta, salads, and many desserts. The sweets here are truly outstanding—my personal favorite is the seasonal fruit tart (especially the mango one). With so many varieties, choosing just one is part of the fun. Each tart is generously topped with fruit, and every bite is filled with juicy freshness and rich cream.

There’s also an impressive drink menu, including tea, fruit juices, lassi, shakes, alcoholic drinks, and more. Both desserts and drinks are generally priced around ¥700–¥1,200.
Whether you want a satisfying meal or simply a sweet treat to relax with, this café is a wonderful choice.

The café also has a bakery next door. You can enjoy freshly baked goods inside, grab a snack when you’re feeling a little hungry, or take something home as a small souvenir.

We hope this helps you discover a new favorite spot in Kyoto.
